Born and raised in Alabama, my siblings and I were expected to be entertaining at the dinner table. We grew up reading as many books as we could check out at the library every week, and we heard and told stories every day. We also were expected to do the right thing and make a difference in the world.
Like many storytellers with a passion for seeking justice, I followed college with law school and a career in social and criminal justice. That same passion for justice has inspired me to write novels and screenplays about women with strong moral compasses who fight for what’s right against corporate greed, right-wing environmental forces, unjust legal prosecutions, World War II Nazis, and toxic masculinity.
